Suru++ Ubuntu

An elegant third-party Linux desktop icon theme with 2,200+ application icons based on Sam Hewitt's Suru Icons - optimized for Ubuntu and GNOME.

Suru++ Ubuntu is a comprehensive desktop icon theme for Ubuntu Linux, created by Andrea Bonanni (Bonandry) and Gustavo Costa. Based on Sam Hewitt's original Suru Icons and the Canonical Design Team's concept, the set has grown to over 2,200 application icons covering a massive range of Linux software. The icons follow a modern, elegant style inspired by GNOME 3.32, with multiple alternative styles available for many icons including GNOME 3.32, Suru, Yaru, and unofficial variations. Icons are provided in scalable SVG format along with 16px and 24px raster sizes. The theme spans standard FreeDesktop categories: apps, actions, devices, mimetypes, panel, places, and status. One of its standout features is customizable folder colors supporting Canonical, Ubuntu, GNOME 3.32, Suru, and Yaru palettes via the companion Suru++ Folders tool. The pack was reduced from 170MB to 30MB in v25.0 through optimization. It can be installed via a shell script, PPA (ppa:gusbemacbe/ppa), or manual download. Versions are named after Japanese cities (Suru is a Japanese word), with v25.0 being the Kyoto release. Also available on the KDE Store. Note: this is a Linux desktop icon theme, not a web icon library.
